The Mission Control page provides a powerful, at-a-glance view of your entire fleet. To make this view as relevant as possible for your specific needs, you can create Custom Mission Control Profiles.

A profile allows you to choose exactly which status indicators and data points are displayed for your devices in the main device list. This is perfect for creating streamlined views for different types of assets (e.g., a simple view for basic tracking vs. a detailed view for complex solar assets).

This guide walks you through how to create, configure, and manage your custom profiles.

1. Accessing the Mission Control Profiles Menu

First, you need to navigate to the profile management area.

  1. Log in to your Insytly account at app.insytly.com.

  2. Click on your User Name at the bottom of the main left-hand navigation menu to open the user sub-menu.

  3. Select Settings.

  4. In the settings menu on the left, click on Mission Control Profiles.

This will open the main Profiles page, where you can see all existing profiles, which devices they are applied to, and options to manage them.

2. Creating a New Profile

  1. From the main Profiles page, click the black [+ Create Profile] button.

  2. The "Creating Profile" window will appear. Fill in the following details:

    • Profile Name: Give your profile a descriptive name (e.g., "Solar CCTV View," "Basic Fleet Tracking").

    • Select Device Type: Choose whether this profile will be for IY-LITE or IY-HUB2 units. The available display options will change based on the device type selected.

    • Select Device (for Preview): You can optionally select one of your existing devices from the dropdown menu. This will populate the Device Preview section, showing you what your new profile will look like with real data.

3. Configuring Display Options

Standard Display Options

Use the toggles to select which standard status indicators you want to include in this profile. Turn the toggle On (green) to show a tag, and Off (grey) to hide it.

Available options can include:

  • Site Tags: Show which site the asset belongs to.

  • Last Report: Display the time of the last successful communication.

  • Notifications: Show if the device has any active alerts.

  • Maintenance Logs: Display the status of any maintenance logs.

  • Cellular Status: Show the cellular signal strength indicator.

  • GPS Status: Show the GPS lock status indicator.

  • APS Score: Display the calculated Asset Performance Score.

  • Relays: Show the status of relay channels (only available for IY-HUB2 profiles).

Adding Custom Data Channels

This is where you can add specific data points like battery voltage or temperature as individual status tags.

  1. In the Device Preview section, click one of the [+ Add] buttons to open the "Configure Sensor Tile" wizard.

  2. Step 1: Select Icon: Choose a relevant icon for your new data tag from the library (e.g., a battery icon for voltage, a solar icon for panel power). Click Next.

  3. Step 2: Select Sensor: From the "Available Sensors" list, find and select the specific data source you want to display (e.g., "A2 Maximum Voltage (V)"). You can use the search bar to find it quickly. Click Next.

  4. Step 3: Configure Thresholds: Set the numerical values that will determine the color of the status tag. This allows you to see the health of a sensor at a glance.

    • Upper Red: Any value above this will make the tag Red.

    • Upper Orange: Any value between this and Upper Red will be Orange.

    • Lower Orange: Any value between this and Lower Red will be Orange.

    • Lower Red: Any value below this will make the tag Red.

    • (Values between Upper Orange and Lower Orange will be Green).

    • Click Save to add the new custom tag to your profile.

Once you are happy with all your selections, click the black [Create Profile] button at the bottom of the window.

4. Managing and Applying Your Profiles

After creating your profile, you will be returned to the main Profiles list. From here, you can:

  • Manage Devices: Click this to apply your new profile to one or more of your devices.

  • Edit: Click this to change the name or display options of an existing profile.

  • Delete: Permanently remove a profile.

By creating custom profiles, you can tailor the Mission Control view to perfectly match your operational needs, ensuring the most important information is always right at your fingertips.
