TABLE OF CONTENTS
The Mission Control page is the first screen you see when you log in to the Insytly platform. It is your central hub for gaining a complete, at-a-glance overview of your entire fleet of connected assets.
This guide explains the key components of the Mission Control page and how to use them to effectively manage your operations.
1. The Device List Panel
Located on the left side of the screen, the Device List provides a detailed, scrollable summary of every asset you have connected to Insytly.
At-a-Glance Status Indicators
Each device in the list displays a series of icons and data points, giving you a quick snapshot of its health. This information is fully customisable (see "Mission Control Profiles" below) but can include:
Device Name & Icon: The custom name and icon for easy identification.
Power Data: The last reported battery voltage, state of charge, or solar panel power reading (including from connected Victron equipment).
Sensor Readings: Data from connected sensors, such as temperature.
Relay Status: The current state (On/Off) of any connected relay channels.
Connectivity: Cellular signal strength (RSSI) and GPS status.
Alerts & Logs: Highlights active alerts or the status of maintenance logs.
Asset Performance Score (APS): The calculated performance score for the asset.
Site Tag: The site the asset is grouped under for organisation.
Last Report: The time the device last successfully sent data to the platform.
Search & Filter
At the top of the list, use the search bar to find a device by name or use the filter options to sort your fleet by criteria like "Latest Report" or "Lowest APS Score" to quickly identify assets needing attention.
Customising Your View with Mission Control Profiles
The status indicators shown for each device are not fixed; they are controlled by a "Mission Control Profile."
Note: A default profile is applied to all new devices. To create your own custom profiles that show only the data relevant to your specific assets, navigate to your Settings. From there, you can build new profiles and apply them to your devices. See our separate guide on this.
Clicking on any device in the list will take you directly to its detailed individual dashboard.
2. The Map View
The large map on the right provides a geographical overview of your entire fleet.
Asset Icons: Each device is represented by its custom icon on the map. Clicking an icon highlights it in the device list and shows key status information.
Clustering: If you have many assets close together, they may be grouped into a numbered cluster. Zooming in will separate the cluster into individual icons.
Map Controls (Top Right):
Toggle View: Switch between the standard map view and a high-resolution satellite map view.
Center Map: Click the crosshair icon to automatically adjust the map to show all your assets in one view.
3. The Widgets
Located at the bottom of the screen, these widgets provide high-level statistics about your fleet's overall performance.
Worst Performing Sites/Assets: These widgets rank your sites or individual assets from lowest to highest based on their aggregated Asset Performance Score (APS), allowing you to quickly see which areas need the most attention.
Asset Performance Score (APS) Breakdown: This provides a fleet-wide overview of your APS, showing the percentage of assets that are performing well versus those that need attention or are performing poorly.
Fleet Notifications: A summary count of all alerts received in the last 14 days across your fleet, categorised by type (Critical, Warning, Offline, Geofence).
Fleet Connectivity: A graphical breakdown of cellular signal strength and GPS connection status across your entire fleet, helping you identify assets in poor coverage areas.
4. Main Navigation & Actions
Left-Hand Menu: Use the main menu on the far left to navigate to other key sections of the platform, such as Sites, Dashboards, Pinned Devices, and your account settings.
Create Button: The "Create" button at the bottom of the navigation bar is your shortcut to add a new device to your account.
User Sub-Menu: Click your name at the bottom of the main menu to access your Settings, the Knowledge Base, raise a Support Ticket, or Logout.
The Mission Control page is designed to be your command center, giving you the critical information you need to make smart, proactive decisions about managing your remote operations.
