Device Dashboard Components

When you're on the device page and wish to add or edit components on your dashboard, you can do so by entering the edit mode. To enter edit mode, click on the settings icon in the lower right corner of the dashboard.

Adding and Editing Components

You can add various components to your device dashboard, including:

• Line Graph
• Stacked Graph
• Gauge
• Ring Gauge
• Bar Chart
• Device Map
• Relay Switch Logs
• Notification Logs
• Image
• Value Text Counter
• Text Tile

We'll explore how to add and edit each component type on the dashboard.

Adding a Component

1. Enter edit mode by clicking the settings icon.
2. Click the plus symbol to bring up the "Add Component" tab.
3. Click the plus symbol beside the graph or chart name to add it.

Editing a Component - This will differ based on type of component, an example is given below

• Click the "Edit Component" button on the empty component tile to bring up the component settings.

1. Graph Sensor:

   • Scroll through the list and click the plus icon beside the sensor data you wish to display (e.g., Battery Voltage).
2. Graph Heading:
   • Toggle on/off the graph heading and icon.
   • Select an icon and input a title for your graph.
   • Optionally, add and toggle a subtitle.
   • Additional options include toggling "Show Instance," "Show Graph Period Change," "Invert Colours," and displaying the latest reported value.
   • The graph units are also displayed here which will be auto-filled based on your selected sensor (e.g., V for battery voltage). This can be edited manually if needed. 
3. Graph Body:
   • In the "Graph Body" section, you can customise the appearance and functionality of your graph using the following options:

     Toggle Buttons

     • Data Period Buttons: Enable or disable the 24hr, 7 days, 14 days, and 30 days options at the bottom of the graph.
     • Border Gap: Add or remove a border gap around the graph to enhance readability.
     • Axis Labels Inside: Move the axis labels inside the graph rather than displaying them on the outside.
     • Show Axis Labels: Enable or disable the display of axis labels on the graph.
     • Show Grid Lines: Enable or disable the grid lines on the graph.
     • Graph Area Gradient: Enable or disable a gradient fill colour for the graph area instead of a solid colour.
     • Fill Graph: Enable or disable the fill colour under the line on the graph.

   • Slider Bars

     • Gradient Strength: Adjust the strength of the colour gradient using the slider bar.
     • Graph Line Width: Adjust the width of the line on the graph using the slider bar.

   • Value Settings

     • Graph Min: Set the minimum value for the y-axis of the graph.
     • Graph Max: Set the maximum value for the y-axis of the graph.
     • Use Min/Max: Toggle this option to apply the minimum and maximum values you've set.

   • Graph Modifier

     • Graph Modifier: Choose from options to add, subtract, multiply, or divide by a specified value to modify the graph data.
4. Colour Thresholds:
   • The Insytly system uses a RED-AMBER-GREEN (RAG) system to indicate critical levels (red), warnings (amber), and normal levels (green). This tab allows you to set the thresholds that trigger the notifications.
   • Set values for the following thresholds:
     • Upper Fault: Critical high threshold value (e.g., for temperature, this could be 50 degrees).
     • Upper Warning: High warning threshold value.
     • Lower Warning: Low warning threshold value.
     • Lower Fault: Critical low threshold value (e.g., for state of charge, this could be 10%).
   • You can edit the titles of these threshold options to customise your notification titles. For example, you could rename "Upper Fault" to "Overheating" for a temperature graph.
   • Send Graph Notifications: Toggle this option on or off to enable or disable notifications based on the thresholds.
   • Notification Delay: Adjust the delay for notifications between 1 and 3.
   • Show Markline on Graph: Toggle to show or hide the fault and warning lines on the graph.
   • Show Thresholds on Graph: Toggle to show or hide the thresholds on the graph.
5. Component Options:
   • Duplicate Component: Click this button to duplicate the graph component.
   • Delete Component: Click this button to remove the component from the dashboard.

6. Saving Changes:

   • After making all desired changes, click the "Save" button at the bottom of the pop-out window to save your modifications.
