How do I add a device?

Once you have successfully installed your device, you can add it to your account on the Insytly platform by following these steps:

Note: To add a device to the platform, your Organisation must first be set up, and billing details must be added. These steps are required during the creation of your account. Please ensure your Organisation is configured and billing information is completed before attempting to add a device. An error code will display if this is not completed.

1. Log In:

   • Log into your Insytly account.

2. Navigate to Create:

   • Locate the navigation bar and select "Create" near the bottom.

1. Select Device Type:

   • A pop-up window will appear with options to create:
     • Fleet Dashboard
     • Insytly Hardware
   • Select Insytly Hardware and you will be given options of:
     • IY LITE
     • IY HUB 2
   • Select the option which matches the unit you have installed and click on Next Page.

2. Choose Tariff:

   • On the "Tariff" page, select the tariff applicable to your use case.
   • Click the Next Page button at the bottom of the pop-up to continue.

3. Enter Basic Information:

   • Input the basic information for your device:
     • Device Name: Must be at least 3 characters long.
     • Device Number: Found on the front of the device and the product box, consisting of 12 characters (a mix of numbers and letters). For ease of entry, you can also scan the QR code using your phone.
     • Default Device Icon: Scroll through the options and select the icon that best represents your device.
   • Once satisfied with the basic information, click the button to proceed.

4. Set Up Dashboard:

   • You can either create your own dashboard or select from pre-made templates.
   • You can find a drop-down option of "Global Templates" and "Organisation Templates on the right-hand side.
     • "Organisation Templates" are those templates which have already been saved within your organisation.
   • After making your selection, review all your information, and click the build button to finalise.

Your device will then be added to your organisation and will appear in your device list.
