Comparison Graphs

To use the comparison graph function for a device in the platform, follow these steps:

  1. Locate "Comparison":

    • Navigate to the "Comparison" section in the navigation bar of the selected device.
  2. Graph Page Overview:

    • This page allows you to compare data from all your sensors.
  3. Graph Templates:

    • Using Templates:
      • If there are any pre-created graph templates, they will be listed at the top. Click the downward arrow next to a template name to load the comparison graph.
    • Updating Templates:
      • To save updates to an existing template, click the "Update" button under "Update Currently Selected Template".
    • Deleting Templates:
      • To delete a template, click the red bin icon next to the template name.
  4. Added Sensors:

    • This section displays the sensors that have already been added to the current comparison graph.
  5. Unused Sensors:

    • This section lists all available sensors for your device.
    • Adding Sensors:
      • Click the plus icon next to a sensor name to add its data to the graph. This sensor will move to the "Added Sensors" list.
      • Use the search bar to filter and find specific sensors.
    • Removing Sensors:
      • Click the cross icon next to a sensor name in the "Added Sensors" list to remove its data from the graph.
  6. Saving Graphs as Templates:

    • To save a graph as a new template, enter a name under the "Save as New Template" heading and click "Save As". The new template will appear in the "Graph Templates" list.
  7. Date Range Selection:

    • The graph on the right displays the selected sensor data.
    • To choose a date range, click the "Pick Date Range" button at the top of the screen. Options include:
      • Last 24 Hours
      • Last 7 Days
      • Last 14 Days
      • Last 30 Days
      • Custom date range using the calendar
    • Click "Select Range" to save the selected date range or "Cancel Selection" to discard changes.
  8. Graph Details:

    • The graph will show trend lines for your selected data. The key at the top indicates each sensor's colour.
  9. Saving as an Image:
    • An icon next to the key at the top right corner of the page allows you to save the graph as an image.
  10. Downloading Data:

    • To download the graph data as a CSV file, click "Download as CSV" at the top left of the page.
