How do I create and edit a maintenance log?

Modified on Tue, 3 Sep at 1:32 PM

To view or edit maintenance logs, you need access rights granted by the Administrator of your organisation. If you don’t have access yet, please contact your Administrator to request the necessary permissions.

Once you have access, navigate to the specific device or asset you want to manage.

Click on the "Maintenance Logs" tab located in the navigation bar.

On this screen, you'll be able to review any previous maintenance logs related to the asset.

Create a New Maintenance Log:

  • Click the "Create Log" button in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.
  • Select the appropriate category for the log: Default, Deployment Information, Fault Detected, General Maintenance, or Urgent Repair.
  • Enter a title for your log entry.
  • Choose an icon to visually represent the log.
  • Input any relevant information and details about the maintenance activity in the text section.
  • Once satisfied with the entry, click "Create Log."
  • Your new maintenance log will now appear in the maintenance log section for that asset. If it doesn’t appear immediately, try refreshing the page.

Viewing and Updating Existing Maintenance Logs

To view and update existing maintenance logs, follow these steps:

  • Access Maintenance Logs:

    • Go to the "Maintenance Logs" screen for the specific asset.
    • Select the log entry you'd like to review. This will allow you to see the full details, including the body of the text, not just the title.
  • Edit and Update Logs:

    • If you need to add more information or provide an update, click the "Edit Log" button.
    • Here, you can append additional details to the existing log entry, ensuring that all updates are accurately recorded.
